My kids have inherited my sweet tooth and would top off on cookies and chocolates throughout the day if they could. I’ve found, however, that they’re significantly more ready to eat the good stuff {and even attempt new things!} when I make it a little more diversion for them to eat.

Today is the last addition in the Tastes of the Season Holiday Recipe series. The last several months I have teamed up with some incredibly talented blogger friends to brings you seasonally inspired recipes!

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST SANTA MUNCH CHRISTMAS POPCORN!

(Full recipe toward the end of the post)

Who doesn’t adore a delicious snack that can be put together in a flash? With the entirety of the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season, I definitely love to have a brisk and easy snack I can appreciate when things get a little insane. That is the reason this Santa chomp will be my best friend throughout the entire season!

I love that I just need to put popped popcorn, M&Ms and cake blend powder into an enormous pack and coat. At that point spread the coated popcorn and candies onto a prepared sheet dish. Drizzle with melted white chocolate, and sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles. At that point, it’s a great opportunity to break apart and appreciate!

MAKE THIS CHRISTMAS POPCORN YOUR OWN

The best part of this snack blend is how easy it is to switch it up! I love taking the basic ingredients for this Christmas popcorn and making it fit for each holiday or birthday that comes up!

It’s as easy as swapping the M&Ms and sprinkles for the respective event or holiday you have coming up. This blend is the ideal way to make any occasion a little extra festive!

Some other good ways to upgrade this Christmas popcorn, even more, would be to supplant the plain M&M’s with your favorite M&M enhance, similar to dark chocolate, caramel, or if you can find it I profoundly suggest evaluating the new seasonal hot cocoa enhance! You don’t need to stick with M&Ms, the reason not attempt different festive sweets such as smaller than expected candy canes or marshmallows.

You could also switch the white chocolate to drain or dark chocolate if you’re a sorry white chocolate fan. Or on the other hand drizzle with red and green candy melts for more color.

SPREAD SOME CHEER WITH CHRISTMAS POPCORN

I realize it will entice to eat this whole container of popcorn the minute you taste it, but if you have the self-discipline to surrender some, it makes for the cutest gifts!

You can make a cute little gift basket and pair a pack of Christmas popcorn with a cute festive mug, some homemade sugar scrub, and a fudge wreath! Discussion about the ideal present! If you need to gift just the snack blend, I suggest getting a cute pail or Christmas tin, tied with lace and a personalized Christmas tag!

I love the idea of offering these to teachers, or collaborators as a little seasonal thank you for the entirety of their hard work. Nothing makes individuals feeling good more than a little surprise that involves a tasty treat they can snack on while at work.

via: https://tidymom.net

Christmas popcorn also makes an ideal party favors just divide the blend into cellophane bags and tie with pretty lace.

SANTA MUNCH CHRISTMAS POPCORN

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 10 1x

Description

SANTA MUNCH CHRISTMAS POPCORN

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup holiday M&M candies
  • 1/2 cup Christmas sprinkles
  • 16 ounces white chocolate, melted (or almond bark or candy melts)
  •  1/2 cup white cake mix powder*
  • 810 cups popcorn. lightly buttered, popped and salted (homemade or microwave)

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper.
  2. Place popped popcorn (be sure to remove any unpopped kernels), M&Ms and cake mix powder in to a large bag (we use a paper shopping bag) and shake well to coat. Note, the cake mix will stick better if you use buttered popcorn. Alternately, you can do this in a large bowl and stir, but I find shaking it in a bag much easier.
  3. Spread coated popcorn and candies onto prepared sheet pan. Drizzle with a little more than half of the melted white chocolate, tossing gently a few times with a rubber spatula to cover popcorn. Sprinkle with half of the Christmas sprinkles. Drizzle with remaining chocolate and add more sprinkles.
  4. Allow to cool and harden for at least 30 minutes, then gently break into pieces and store in an airtight container. Enjoy right away!

Notes

  • We have made this with unbuttered popcorn and the cake mix did not stick as well, but it was still delicious.
  • We use 2-3 bags of microwave popcorn
  • *if you are concerned about raw flour in the cake mix, either omit the cake mix or you can heat treat it first by microwaving the cake mix on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds, stirring at 15 second intervals.

WHITE CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT PRETZELS

These White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels are so easy to make and loaded with holiday season. They are ready to go in 10 minutes from start to finish. If you are searching for a holiday treat, this is one you need to make this year.

But first things first… how was your week? I realize mine was awesome!! It was great because my group won our soccer game. It was 14-0! It was so amusing because it started pouring just after the game.

Guess what? We are leaving town on Sunday! We will go Arizona and I will be baptized! It’s something we choose to do when we’re 8 years old. I can hardly wait to reveal to all of you about it. 😉

How about we begin on the treat today. The recipe is White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels. It was so good, especially the peppermint parts. I continued picking them off and shoving them in my mouth. These were so easy to make (really easy!!) and would be great gifts to give for Christmas.

If you love white chocolate and peppermint, you’ll love these yummy pretzels.

Searching for a little snack to share with everybody on Christmas? These Easy White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels are so easy to make and everybody will LOVE them.

via: https://www.sixsistersstuff.com

Our mother used to make a plate of goodies for every one of her neighbors and friends, and this recipe was always a favorite.

They are so easy to make, and aren’t they just adorable? The ideal little holiday munchie, with all the flavor or Christmas.

The best part is, you can whip them together in merely minutes, stick them in the cooler for around 5 minutes and you are a great idea to go.

Fromt start to finish, these don’t take more than 10 minutes to make, which is great, because the holidays get busy.

They are also inexpensive, so they make a great holiday gift.

ADD A LITTLE MORE PEPPERMINT TO THE TASTE:

This recipe is so easy to make and just requires three ingredients. It is also inexpensive to make, and makes quite a bit.

If you resemble me, you love the holiday flavors and candies, and this recipe is no exemption.

It does have a little candy stick on it, but I like to make mine a little extra minty, and it is so easy to do.

When the white chocolate is melted, I like to add a drop of peppermint extricate, to it. I blend it in and proceed to dip my pretzels.

It gives it the ideal trace of holiday peppermint, and it is delicious.

If you are searching for a fun and delicious holiday treat, the entire family will cherish, I definitely recommend this one, and adding a little additional peppermint, if desired.

WHAT COULD I CRUMBLE OVER IT INSTEAD OF CANDY CANES?

If you are not a peppermint lover, no stress. This recipe is so versatile that you could literally add any topping to it, and it would taste absolutely delicious.

I added a video cut underneath of me adding Oreo to these, but here are a couple of different options:

holiday flavored Oreo’s

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Kit Kat bars

sprinkles

chopped nuts of decision

milk chocolate drizzle

Butterfingers

chocolate shreds

scaled down M&M’s

gingersnap treat crumbles

Those are just a couple of my favorite toppings to put on these pretzels, but they are even delicious, just plain. Pick your favorite, and make it a date night with your family.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE THESE?

If you have any left finished, or are making them in advance, we recommend setting them in a sealed shut compartment.

You could solidify or refrigerate them if desired, but they keep entirely well for about seven days, just in a holder on my counter, or in the wash room.

Christmas Wreath Antipasto Skewers

Christmas Wreath Antipasto Skewers
Christmas Wreath Antipasto Skewers with peppered salami, mozzarella balls, olives, cherry peppers, artichokes, and fresh basil. An easy healthy appetizer that is ideal for the holidays.

An Easy and Beautiful Christmas Party Appetizer

Today is the day. Mike has his organization Christmas party and it’s something I anticipate each year. It’s the one time that I, as the boss’s wife, get the opportunity to meet and associate with every one of his employees including spouses.

But before all that goes down. I had to prepare a great deal of stuff to get today going.

Plan the food menu and set the “bar menu” for the party all while staying in budget. Imparting decorations AND most importantly purchasing the gifts for every one of the employees. We purchase no different gift, that would be easy. We purchase gifts considering what a worker may like. It’s hard but justified, despite all the trouble at last. Ya know.

In light of what has been said, I’m tired. Going to complete my hair and then going to chill the rest of the night. Whew! But before I do that I’ve given this astonishing Christmas Wreath Antipasto Skewer appetizer recipe to ya. Because it’s extravagant, easy with a dash of fun-loving and thoroughly needs to be at your next Christmas party! Truth be told, I may make it for the Christmas party I’m going to tomorrow!

What are Antipasto Skewers?

Traditionally, Antipasto is the first course of an Italian feast. It’s a mix of olives, cheese, artichokes, marinated mushrooms or vegetables, and cured meats. Antipasto Skewers are basically using these ingredients and putting them on a skewer.

How to Make Antipasto Skewers as a Christmas Appetizer:

First, select the ingredients you’d prefer to use for your antipasto. (cured meat, various cheeses, vegetables, marinated vegetables, olives, and fresh basil)

Spread the ingredients out before you so they are easily accessible.

On a skewer, interchange the antipasto ingredients so there is, at any rate, one of every item on the skewer.

Cover and spot in the fridge for as long as one day or serve immediately.

How to Display Antipasto Skewers?

When your Antipasto Skewers are made you can display them in an assortment of ways. Most individuals put them on a cheese board or plate. However, if you’d prefer to be festive you can orchestrate them in a shape. (ex. a Christmas Wreath, Valentines Heart, Thanksgiving Turkey or fourth of July Firework) Be creative.

via: https://www.joyfulhealthyeats.com

Would you be able to Make Antipasto Skewers in Advance?

The short answer is yes. If depends on how marinaded your ingredients are. If you’re using a great deal of marinaded vegetables or cheeses I recommend not making it ahead of time so you keep all the flavor. However, if you’re attempting to save time then yes you can make it one day ahead of time and spread in the icebox.

How adaptable it is. You can basically make it your own and choose the vegetables, cheeses and cured meats you need. There is no set “recipe.” Well, kinda but not so much.

It’s delicious!

It’s beautiful.

Easy Holiday Appetizer: Christmas Tree Cheese Board

Christmas Tree Cheese Board
I have a few easy appetizer ideas to share, ideal for the busy Christmas season or last-minute engaging! The first hors d’oeuvre is a Christmas Tree Cheese Board, festive and easy to assemble using cheese and grapes! The first idea for this cheese board originated from Kraft Canada.

Use a few varieties of cheese to manufacture your Christmas tree cheese board or platter. I used Cheddar and Cheddar Jack and red and green seedless grapes.

Cut your cheese into cubes and mastermind your cubes and grapes in rows on a platter or cutting board in a Christmas tree shape.

I took care of some sprigs of thyme and rosemary along the edges and included a star-shaped saltine for a tree topper and more crackers to serve. My sister presented to me two or three boxes of Valley Lahvosh Star Crackers’ reasoning I could have a little occasion nourishment fun with them! She discovered them at a Sprouts Farmers Market store in Georgia. They’re available from Sprouts and Walmart on the web, but just in a case pack of 12. If anybody finds them by the single box somewhere, leave a remark and tell me!

Use some festive party picks or customary toothpicks to serve. I found this Meri Christmas Party Picks at HomeGoods for $3.99.

This festive eatable occasion tree starter isn’t limited to cheese and grapes, you could assemble an antipasto Christmas tree using olives, tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, peppers, marinated mozzarella, and restored meats~

Cheerful Christmas and Happy Holiday Entertaining!

CROCK POT SALTY SWEET CANDY

CROCK pot SALTY SWEET CANDY IS AN EASY TO MAKE DESSERT EVERYONE LOVES! JUST THROW EVERYTHING IN YOUR SLOW COOKER AND YOU’LL HAVE TREATS FOR EVERYONE ON YOUR NICE LIST!

via: https://realhousemoms.com

The holidays are here and boy did they sneak up on me. With such a large number of things going on it can be difficult to fit everything in. From shopping to parties to making those yummy treat trays, where do you discover the time? This Crock Pot Salty Sweet Candy is one of my go-to occasion treats. It’s insane easy to make and everybody loves it. It’s a great nourishment gift for neighbors, a yummy addition to any treat plate, and an ideal poppable treat for your vacation party!

My family loves to make and get treat plates. We have around 20 families we like to convey treats to each Christmas season. One recipe I can always rely on is Crock Pot Candy. This year I went with a white candy instead of my normal milk chocolate. This is one of my family’s favorite Christmas candy recipes and it makes a HUGE cluster!

I just took the chocolate recipe and supplanted the milk chocolate with white chocolate. It works great! Presently some prefer to use unsalted peanuts in this dessert, but I really prefer to use dry roasted peanuts they have a slightly salty covering to them for this candy. The pretzels aren’t too salty either and work flawlessly. I am a gigantic devotee of everything salty and sweet.

via: https://realhousemoms.com

I couldn’t imagine anything better than to say this is a “dump it and overlook it” sort of recipe but because we’re working with chocolate and candy it requires a bit more consideration. That being said, you can place the ingredients in your slow cooker and leave them for an hour to accomplish different things! I usually set a clock because I would prefer not to overlook the candy in the stewing pot and destroy the entire group. At that point, I used a small treat scoop to divide the candy onto parchment paper (a silicone tangle works fine as well). What’s more, because I can’t disregard things around Christmas, I put sprinkles on to make them extra festive! This really is the easiest slow cooker candy recipe! If you adored this recipe, make certain to attempt some of my other best stewing pot recipes. They’re sure to be a hit with your family!

You can make your very own Copycat Grinch Pancakes at home. Your kids will adore awakening to a stack of cushioned green pancakes topped with cream cheese icing, green whipped cream, and red candy hearts for Christmas breakfast.

Have you been to IHOP for some Grinch Pancakes yet?

I have and I delighted in each bite of the feathery green pancakes topped with a sweet and silky cream cheese icing and a swirl of superbly seasoned green whipped cream. Gracious, and I can’t disregard the red candy hearts that were sprinkled on top. They were tasty as well.

My husband and I made a special excursion to IHOP last weekend just so I could attempt the new Grinch’s Green Pancakes. I wasn’t to IHOP in years but we were making a beeline for see The Grinch motion picture that evening so it just appeared well and good to go totally out of our way to eat green pancakes for breakfast. I am so happy we did.

Of course, in the wake of having such a festive occasion breakfast I was inspired to make my very own version at home. If you tail me here you realize that I highly esteem creating one of a kind and unique recipes like my Chocolate Pretzel Snowman Crafts, Stuffed Pizza Skulls, Conversation Heart Cheesecakes, and Frosty Snowman Pretzels, a considerable lot of which have been duplicated and shared on the web (sadly usually without any attribution) but I just couldn’t resist re-creating these copycat IHOP Grinch Pancakes.

If you have an IHOP close to you, definitely go request a stack of their Grinch Pancakes and appreciate feeling like a kid once more. For those of you who don’t or who just need to have the option to make a fun Grinch themed breakfast for you and your kids, try these pancakes out.

Start by making the cream cheese icing and the green whipped cream.

Make Cream Cheese Icing Glaze:

Beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and rich.

I left my icing rather thick being I needed to ensure it didn’t spread an excess of when I took pictures but my pancakes had cooled off a lot when I actually stacked them and included the icing so it didn’t spread by any stretch of the imagination.

It tasted great however and gives my pancakes a very cartoon-like appearance.

When added to hot pancakes the icing will spread.

If it is too thick you can add a bit more milk to thin it out.

  • green pancakes
  • green food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 11/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 11/4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. GREEN PANCAKES
  2. In large bowl, whisk the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Whisk together the egg and buttermilk.
  4. Pour into the flour mixture and stir just to combine.

  6. Drop a small amount of vegetable oil into a skillet or on a griddle and place over medium heat.

  9. Gently flip your pancakes over and cook until lightly browned on both sides.
